2013 Cooper Tyres USF2000 National Championship
This year Michael is competing in the USF2000 National Championship in the USA, presented by Cooper Tyres and powered by Mazda on their Road-to-Indy programme. The American series uses a variation of the Formula Ford F2000 formula and is sanctioned by IndyCar. With previous champions such as J. R. Hildebrand and Dan Wheldon, the championship is considered a prestigious challenge for upcoming drivers.
With great coverage across the United States and Canada, racing in front of IndyCar, Grand-Am, USAC and ALMS audiences throughout the season, and prize money at each event and for the overall championship result, it provides an unrivaled amount of exposure and support for those with the attitude and ability to succeed and push their careers to the next level.
With the help of P1 Sports, Michael signed up with PRL Motorsports for the beginning of the season, but sadly parted ways just before the Night Before the 500 event in Indianapolis in May. He has now rejoined the championship with Belardi Auto Racing and plans to continue the season toward podiums and wins.
